Overview
ST Math is a PreK-8 supplemental program grounded in neuroscience, designed to help students develop conceptual understanding of math through visual problem-solving. It employs a patented approach using visual puzzles to introduce mathematical concepts before formal instruction. Real-time formative feedback allows students to reflect and adjust their thinking. Mastery-based progression ensures comprehension at each step. ST Math complements core curricula, adapting to individual student needs and promoting equity by engaging spatial-temporal reasoning and the Perception-Action Cycle. Collaborative learning is fostered through Math Puzzle Talks, encouraging discourse and strategy sharing. Diagnostics and intervention tools are available for grades 6-8, leveraging data from assessments like NWEA MAP Growth and Renaissance Star Math to provide targeted support. The program aims to build lasting confidence and a mindset of a mathematical thinker.
