PunchBox is a virtual instrument designed for creating kick drum sounds. It combines sampling and synthesis, offering a library of 1100 samples and 800 presets created by sound designers. Users can send kick layers to four FX units: Bitcrusher, Filter, Distortion, and EQ, to shape the sound before it goes through an output limiter. The instrument features an intuitive drag-and-drop interface for reordering FX. PunchBox allows users to create original kick sounds with high-quality processing and vast sound options. It’s focused on dance music production, providing the tools to design impactful kick drums suitable for various genres.
